Young Chamber Musicians makes its home at Kohl Mansion, a beautiful 1914 rose brick Tudor mansion. In this setting, designed with music in mind, YCM works in collaboration with the Peninsula's premier concert series, Music at Kohl Mansion, and in partnership with Mercy High School, Burlingame. The Mansion's Library and Great Hall are ideal for the program's public master classes, student performances, and weekly coaching held in the high school classrooms and the Mansion's third floor piano studio.

Each season, Music at Kohl Mansion opens its Great Hall to the public in a series of monthly 7pm concerts by renowned national and international chamber music ensembles. Since, 2011, Young Chamber Musicians has united with these artists in a series of free public master classes held at 5pm before each concert. Through the Carlstrom Student Ticket Program, YCM ensembles attend these concerts free of charge.
“I’m sure you agree that the best musical education an instrumentalist can get is through chamber music, so the work you are doing so well I consider to be essential to your students’ growth and understanding of their art. ”
