Piano Festival Touts YCM Coaches and Students

In August, our students and coaches were again center stage at the San Francisco International Piano Festival.

On opening night, YCM alumnae Sarah Yuan and Munan Cheng performed movements from Fauré’s Dolly Suite. YCM coaches Eric Chin, violin, and Jeffrey LaDeur, piano, gave a brilliant performance of Fauré’s Op. 73 Violin Sonata.

Masterclasses throughout the festival included current and past YCM pianists Jacob Rockower, Karina Tseng, Munan Cheng, and Claire Cheng.

The festival also showcased YCM violinist Ariel Pawlik-Zwiebel and his father, pianist Markus Pawlik, appearing at San Francisco's Musical Lunch Break's "Noontime Concerts".

Thank you to the San Francisco International Piano Festival's founder Jeff LaDeur for making the next generation of musicians from YCM such a huge part of the festival.
